Day 19 11.03.15

I put my Paisley design into a repeat pattern. I cleaned it up some more and improved the colour.

Added more to the edges so it wasn't obvious where it was repeating.

Printed it out and checked how it looked and kept on adding extra bits and moving stuff around to make it look better.

Day 18 10.03.15

I continued creating a Paisley design. I spent the day cleaning my design up and drawing my design on Photoshop.

Week 7 Day 18 09.03.15

I showed Joanne my best Portuguese trend final design, she liked it which was really good and made me feel like I had worked hard.

I then started looking for inspiration for a 'Paisley' design and painted some in watercolour raedy for my next design.

Day 17 04.03.15

Star design

I  took grey star design which had been done for M & S in the past and recoloured it using the colours M & S had sent in a brief.

Once I printed it out the colours didn't match the pantone colours as colours from your computer change when they are printed on paper. I had to print it several times so that the colours were the same as my pantone colours.

Day 16 03.03.15

I continued creating the Dunelm market board I started yesterday. It took a while to do as there was a lot of bedding that I needed to add onto a Photoshop page and make sure I added each one into its correct category.

Week 6 Day 15 02.03.15

I created market boards on PhotoShop of Wilkinsons and Dunelm bedding. I added the images and names and put them into different sections depending on what price range they are and what fabric they are made from.

Wilkinsons bedding had multiple ones that were the same price and fabric and Dunelm did, however Dunelm had more bedding choice and bedding that was at a higher price.

Day 14 25.02.15

I matched and selected Pantone colours for Trend collection pages. I had to pick out the main and most prominent colours of each trend then find the closest matching Pantone colours then stick them down on each Trend page.

Day 13 24.02.15

I continued doing strip designs of my portuguese repeat patterns. I did several designs to see which way the patterns looked best, what size strips looked best and what worked.

Week 5 Day 12 23.02.15

I completed my flowers with leaf drawing by making it into a repeat design on Photoshop.

Repeat design

I then gathered all of the repeat designs I had created for the Portuguese trend and  using the designs that worked well together I designed a bedding design that had strips of each design.

Day 11 20.02.15

Flower and Leaf design

I created a flower and leaf drawing, I then painted it using watercolour paints. Once dry I scanned it into my computer and opened it in Adobe Photoshop.

When on Photoshop I cleaned it up by removing pencil marks, making all of the edges and lines smooth and straight, and making the colours blend in better.

After cleaning it up I made it into an offset repeat.
